As simple as placing whole pears into our Grecian cake mix batter before baking.

PROCESS
1. In an oversized loaf pan (a tall round, square or springform pan works as well), add 4 whole, washed and dried medium-sized pears evenly spaced so that every slice will showcase a cross-section of pear. Bake as instructed on the box, adding 5-10 minutes of extra bake time due to the addition of moisture from the pears.

2. Combine ⅓ cup powdered sugar mixed with ¼ tsp ground cardamom. Sift over the top of the cooled cake.
