Cake Pairing: Grecian
Perfect garnished atop our Winter Mascarpone Frosting

INGREDIENTS
  • 1-2 Persimmons, washed and dried

  • 1/2 cup granulated Cane Sugar, organic - divided

PROCESS
  1. Set your oven to the broiler setting to preheat. Alternatively, you can use a kitchen torch, if you prefer.

  2. Slice your persimmons 1/4” thick to expose the star-shaped interior.

  3. Gently pat dry with a linen or paper towel.

  4. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet.

  5. Sprinkle 1 TBS sugar over each slice. With your fingertip, spread the sugar to the edges.

  6. Place in the preheated oven for approximately 1-2 minutes, removing when they have reached the color of your preference. Or use your kitchen torch to achieve the caramelization of your choice.

  7. Allow to cool and crisp before using.

NOTE: photos shown are a glossy clear color - removed before browning. This results in a less crisp texture, but adds a lovely, syrupy sheen. The beauty of tinkering in the kitchen to create the very magic you love.
